Meeples In Manhattan

Hello everyone!
No amazing news to report at the moment, but I did receive word that our meeples have made landfall in the U.S., so they shouldn't be too far away. (I'm only guessing they are routing through Manhattan... and the alliteration and allusion to the Muppets was too good to pass on.) I'll post photos as soon as I can.
Until then, we're working on a new Fudge/Fate plastic dice project, a couple of new meeple campaigns and the Pantheon Wars game (again, if you're interested in taking a look at it, please check out the print and play version over on my game design blog; we'd love feedback). I'm also prepping the EU data so we can hit the ground running there, too. So... it's pretty quiet, but I'm busy, waiting until we can start sending these little guys out.
Thank you again everyone!

Meeples On The Move

Hello everyone!
I'm sorry that we haven't updated things in a while. I've been dealing with a kidney stone and a lot of other unrelated things that have been time sinks. Besides, we didn't really have news.
That changed today.
I just got word from the factory that our meeples are on their way. The tracking information they gave us is via UPS, and we don't have a solid estimate from them yet, but these things usually take somewhere between one and two weeks. I'll post a mini update like this again when we know more, but since today is the 12th and that was our deadline, it seemed fair to let you all know where we stand.
Thank you again!
Tesh
P.S. If you're interested in plastic Fudge/FATE dice, we have been working on making some. I've put together a mockup for the factory, and I'm picking out Pantone colors tonight. We'd like to run a campaign for these, too, but I'm not sure when. Still, it's good to get the word out.
Mad Scientist and New Fairy

Hello everyone!
I've asked the factory if we can sneak a few new prototypes into the production run, to get ahead of the curve for future projects. New designs and prototypes take less time than a full production run, so they are willing to run them concurrently. It won't affect the October 12th finish date that they noted earlier.
I have until September 26th to get new designs to them. I'll be sending them a few Fairy design (John McNabb suggested introducing some asymmetry, which was a good idea, thanks, John! I made a back face as well and made it a bit bigger to help with detailing) and the Tinkerer lady and Mad Scientist design. If I can get it done, I'll send in the Sky Pirate as well to go with the Rocketeer. Maybe even the Dragon, but I wanted to get the Sky Pirate and Mad Scientist done first to complete the couples.
We're still sorting out when we'll actually run a campaign for some new designs. I think it will be in January or February, but I'm not sure yet. We also have Pantheon Wars and the plastic Tinker Fudge dice in the oven as well, in various stages of preparation. The art and design are the easy part; getting the details of possible production is the time sink.
So... no big news, just some previews.
Thank you everyone!

Locking Down BackerKit

Hello everyone!
We don't have any news from the factory, this is just a quick notice that we're locking down the BackerKit surveys and Preorder system. Thank you all for filling out your surveys, and thank you for the Add Ons that you've added in as well. We're excited to get them all out to you!
You should still be able to change your shipping address if you need to for a while yet, but we need to wind up this phase of the "paperwork" so we can properly prepare for shipping.
Thank you again, everyone!
Tesh
P.S. Edited to add: If you haven't filled out either survey yet, the Kickstarter surveys are unaffected by the BackerKit lockdown. You can still get us information, no worries.
Timeline Update and Pantheon Wars

Hello everyone!
We placed the production order, and they are working on things as we speak. Type. Whatever.
They tell me that the production should be done on October 12th. No word yet on a timeline for shipping, but it's usually a couple of weeks. I may well be celebrating Halloween by sorting and maybe even shipping.
I'll let you know more when I find out.

In the meantime, I've mentioned it before, but I wanted to make it more official. We're looking at launching a Kickstarter campaign for Pantheon Wars: The Fall of Ra. (Next year, after we can nail down production numbers... the other meeples and Tinker Fudge dice come first.) It's a game that I've had on the back burner for a while, testing it on people when I can. I'm trying to find people willing to take one of my prototypes (still under construction) and playtest them. It's especially important to find people willing to talk about it, so we can see about generating some buzz.
If playtesting an area placement game based on an alternate Earth history scarred by wars between different deities and demigods sounds like fun to you, please let me know, and we'll see what might be done. It's available as a print and play game over on my blog, so that's always available, but I'm putting together some spiffy hand-made (well, laser printer made, hand assembled) prototypes, and I'm looking to get them out to interested parties.
We're naturally most interested in finding anyone willing to really dig into it, especially if you're willing to blog about it or even make a video about it. Of course it's best if you actually *like* the game, but if you decide it's broken, we'd like to know that, too. We haven't been able to break it yet, but more eyes looking at it is always good.

Thank you everyone! The production timeline looks promising still, and we're excited to get these little folk out to all of you.
